About Blue Grass Extracts
Blue Grass Extracts is a small, family-run company nestled in the rolling hills of western Kentucky. As a third-generation farmer, I wanted to break away from the status quo of large-scale row cropping—where reliance on chemicals and strict insurance requirements dictated how we farmed. Instead, I sought a more earth-conscious, organic approach, focusing on smaller, sustainable plots of a different kind of crop: cannabis.
My journey has taken me around the world, studying this incredible plant and its potential. With the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, I finally had the opportunity to bring that knowledge home to Kentucky—to create premium, wellness products for my community.
Fueled by a deep skepticism of big pharmaceutical companies and the harm their treatments have inflicted on our friends and families, Blue Grass Extracts was founded on a simple mission: to farm the land responsibly and use time-honored extraction techniques to produce high-quality, natural wellness products at a fair price.

We have a rebellious spirit, never afraid to challenge the status quo or rethink the way things “should” be done. What is Delta 8?
Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as delta-8 THC, is a psychoactive substance found in the Cannabis sativa plant, of which marijuana and hemp are two varieties. Delta-8 THC is one of over 100 cannabinoids produced naturally by the cannabis plant but is not found in significant amounts in the cannabis plant. As a result, concentrated amounts of delta-8 THC are typically manufactured from hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD).
